So close, yet so far away. On July 13, Governor Newson ordered a major roll back of the state's re-opening plan. For a full list of what's open and closed, click here.

Two major things that have closed again are hair salons and gyms (We miss you Lucas Salon!). We miss our local gyms too, but thankfully most have adapted. Klub Gymnastics, Evolve Soccer, and Pound Fit  are all offering online classes and zoom sessions, while 1st Impressions Dance Studio is able to practice outside on Frogtown Brewery's patio. Be sure to check out their online options for the kiddos and yourself.

Although things are closing again, Spoke Bicycle Cafe is still open for limited service (check their Instagram for daily updates). We also have some familiar and new faces that are re-opening and opening for the first time. We're excited to welcome them and take advantage of all the new food options in the neighborhood. We also checked in with one local restaurant who might stay closed for the rest of the year. Read more below!

Who's open in the neighborhood?

We'd like to welcome Justine and crew at Just What I Kneaded to the neighborhood! Around the corner from Wax Paper (still going strong), Just What I Kneaded is a sinfully good vegan bakery with an assortment of treats and coffee options. They are officially open and taking walk up orders or you can order ahead online at no extra cost. Follow their Instagram for day to day updates!

Justine did a lovely interview over at Medium about opening up a bakery during a pandemic. Read the full story here.

Sharing a space with Just What I Kneaded, there is il Capricco. They are not new to LA with a location in Los Feliz, but their new Frogtown location is opening for the first time this week! Their ovens are roaring and ready to go! They are offering pick-up from 5-9 PM. Call (323) 522-3341 to place an order.

It's true! La Colombe is back in action! Hours are everyday 8:00am - 3:00pm. They have implemented safe grab-&-go measures to ensure employee's and customer's safety.

-All visitors must wear masks

-Temporarily not accepting cash payments

-Sidewalk & floor decals 6ft. apart to ensure social distancing

-Protective gear & barriers for baristas
